藏传佛教铜佛像的基本特征：

1.工艺性比较强，艺术性比较弱，时代特征不甚明显藏传佛教的匠师们，造像必须严格按照《造像量度经》的规格制作铜佛像。按照固定的程度重复的制作，难免是千佛一面，工匠的创作灵感只有体现在铜佛像的工艺与技巧上。所以造像在形式上变化的比较慢，一种样式它也可能延续几个世纪，但工艺性比较强，艺术性比较弱，所以在辨别铜佛像的年代时，看不到明显的时代特征
