玉壶春瓶的造型是由唐代寺院里的净水瓶演变而来。基本形制为撇口、细颈、垂腹、圈足。它是一种以变化柔和的弧线为轮廓线的瓶类。其造型上的独特之处是：颈较细，颈部中央微微收束，颈部向下逐渐加宽过渡为杏圆状下垂腹，曲线变化圆缓；圈足相对较大，或内敛或外撇。这种瓶的造型定型于宋代，历经宋、元、明、清、民国直至现代，成为中国瓷器造型中的一种典型器物。

The shape of the Jade Pot Spring Bottle evolved from the water bottle in the temples of the Tang Dynasty. The basic shape is skim, thin neck, vertical abdomen and circle foot. It is a kind of bottle with flexible arc as its contour. Its unique features are: thin neck, slightly tucked in the center of the neck, gradually widening the neck down to apricot-shaped sagging abdomen, gentle curve change; relatively large circle foot, or introverted or extroverted. The shape of this bottle was shaped in the Song Dynasty. It has gone through the Song, Yuan, Ming, Qing, Republic of China and even modern times, and has become a typical object in the shape of Chinese porcelain.

此缠枝莲纹青花玉壶春瓶，成对保存，十分难得。撇口，细长颈，下腹略垂鼓，圈足外撇。造型周正俊秀，外形线条流畅优美。胎质细腻，通体施白釉，釉面光滑莹润，生机盎然，纹饰描绘细腻，富有层次感，笔意娴熟，构图疏朗得当，给人以水墨小品画的清幽之境。颈部饰莲叶纹，此玉壶春瓶为清宫陈设之经典，其形庄重典雅，俊美多姿，胎质坚致细白，釉汁滋润明亮，青花一色浓妍深沉。点涂技法发挥尽致，所到之处尽现永宣遗风，成对传世保存完美，殊为难得。
