此枚钱币为经典中华民国三年袁大头，直径3.9cm，重27g。保存完好，包浆浓厚，钱文清晰可见。钱币正面图案中间为袁世凯戎装左侧面像，纹路深邃，栩栩如生，上方为“中华民国三年”字样，三年版"民"字中有一"点"，而其他年版民字无"点"。此币外形采用透打的形式，将其冷压成各种文字、图案、花纹，因而银元的纹饰深浅适度，间距也疏密一致。背面图案是两株交叉的稻穗，中央为“壹圆”字样，此币背面圆字内的“口”字形成“△”形，整体造型规整，银光灿灿。
