民国16年、17年南京和天津造币厂均有铸造，但采用的全是“中华民国开国纪念币”的年代。中华民国孙像开国纪念币银元，由于铸造厂家不一，铸造年代不同，雕刻师英语水平不高，除正背面主要图案未变外，其花饰细节、英文字母均有变异，特别是英文字母差错较多。这就形成了该币的多种版别。传世较广的主要有两种：一种是五角星版式，一种是六角星版式。

孙中山壹圆双帆币，系民国二十三年上海中央造币厂所铸。整币通体为雪花银铸造，正面上端铸有“中华民国二十三年”字样，下端为孙中山侧面像，背面中央两端铸有“壹圆”，中间有一双桅帆船正乘风破浪。此币文字清晰，图案精美，头像生动传神，铸造技术非常精湛，而且这枚藏品保存较好，其色泽自然，虽稍有锈迹却无碍其品相，反而更显自然细腻，图文深浅合适。币中孙中山头像栩栩如生。设计新颖，铸工精湛。
