"开元通宝钱，中国古代闻名钱币。其原因首要是前史上有唐开元、会昌开元、闽开元、南唐开元、南汉开元等等皆以“开元通宝”为钱文，而各时期开元通宝钱有大有小，有珍亦有普，是中国古代铸币选用同一钱名，而由不同时期所铸的仅有钱品。而在这些开元通宝钱中，由五代十国时期南唐所铸的“开元通宝”钱，则是其间一种。南唐开元的首要风格特征，除了钱文稍有区别，笔划较粗外，就是其为宽缘制式。而以主流泉谱所载来看，南唐开元通宝钱，普品相对较多，唯特大型阔缘珍稀，阔缘大型次之，首要为光背无文，亦见星月纹式。而检点愚帐中所藏南唐开元通宝钱，则见有一品甚为独特之钱，其乃宽缘背铸有龙凤纹，故似为南唐所铸，且为宫钱性质，亦今停止极端稀有。

“开元通宝”四字，隶书书体，直读。其字书相遒劲，笔划较粗，与唐以及其它开元通宝钱书相有所区别，经重复比对，其与南唐开元通宝钱书相最为挨近，故，鄙意认为，其可框定为南唐铸品。而全体上看，其字布局和谐，大小适中，较为规整天然之中，更显古朴坦率。故文字书相一项，无异无邪，其门得开。复观其背，尽管锈蚀较重，然亦可基本分辨出其为龙凤之纹。而此纹饰，在其它开元通宝钱中皆未见谱载，面宽缘背龙凤纹，隶书，纹饰高凸，不难看出，本品总体铸相规整，厚薄适中，小平大样形制。其钱文纹饰鼓凸度稍见平漫，然亦鼓凸有致，深浅较为得体，不难辨识。其铸相显现，方正圆矩，平整地章，穿轮洁净。故由此不错的铸相来看，其非为私铸，仍可属官炉铸品，其门再开。展目本品，锈色莽苍，较重之锈痂裹缚，乃生坑锈相，出于东北黑龙江窖藏之品，混坑与若干代钱币之中，千里挑之仅此一枚。其锈质坚固不糟，锈色纯真，分布天然，深浅相间。薄锈之处，可见包浆稠密，熟老结壮。续可识其乃青铜质地，铜色则是出现明显熟旧之相。无需再为赘述，本品锈相昭然一派天然天成，无异无邪，此门可开。番鉴赏，几度审视，本枚“开元通宝背龙凤纹”小平大样形制钱，三相一材，无不过关斩将，开宗明义，难以怀疑。前述，依据钱文书相和宽缘制式，鄙意将其定为南唐所铸，十之八九。而因其背龙凤纹，应属宫钱性质而非厌胜品，尤其是其钱体小，更不可能为开炉之钱，且至今创见仅见且为脱谱之品，故而作为南唐宫钱，非常的可贵，值得收藏矣。"
