“军政府造四川铜币”是辛亥革命时期的产物。1911年12月发生“成都兵变”，以尹昌衡、罗纶为正副都督的四川军政府取代了成立仅12天的大汉四川军政府。由于在“成都兵变”中，原四川藩库、大清银行、浚川源银行及各票号、钱庄、商店皆遭乱兵抢劫一空，新的四川军政府成立之后即面临着需用日繁、度支日绌的财政困窘局面。

"The military government made Sichuan copper coins" is a product of the 1911 Revolution. In December 1911, the "Chengdu mutiny" took place. The Sichuan military government, with Yin Changheng and Luo Lun as the chief and deputy governors, replaced the 12 day old Sichuan military government. In the "Chengdu mutiny", the former Sichuan fanku bank, the Bank of Qing Dynasty, the Bank of junchuanyuan and all ticket companies, banks and shops were robbed by riotous soldiers. After the establishment of the new Sichuan military government, it was faced with a financial dilemma of increasing demands and spending.

其后军政府迅速接管了四川成都造币厂，决定铸造“四川铜币”以应急。民国元年(1912年)4月，四川成都造币厂奉四川军政府之命，开模铸造“军政府造四川铜币”（也称“汉”字铜元）。

After that, the military government quickly took over the Sichuan Chengdu mint and decided to cast "Sichuan copper coins" in case of emergency. In April of the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Sichuan Chengdu Mint was ordered by the Sichuan military government to cast "Sichuan copper coins made by the military government" (also known as "Han" copper yuan).

“军政府造四川铜币当制钱五十文”（错版币），此铜元背面字体皆错位约45度，用十八小圈绕一大圈，圈内篆文汉字，以直线纹为底。上边加“中华民国元年”字样，铜币正面中央珠圈内有“四川铜币”四字，上下左右分列，其中心饰有芙蓉花纹。珠圈上缘书“军政府造”四字，下缘为“当制钱五十文”字样，，左右饰以花星纹饰。它带有辛亥革命那一时期鲜明的时代印记，见证了那一段波澜壮阔的民国历史！

"Sichuan copper coins made by the military government should be used to make 50 coins" (wrong edition coins). The characters on the back of the copper coins are all misplaced about 45 degrees. They are circled in 18 small circles with seal characters in the circle, with straight lines as the bottom. The inscription "the first year of the Republic of China" is added on the top. There are four characters of "Sichuan copper coins" in the central bead circle on the front of the copper coins, which are arranged up and down, left and right, with hibiscus pattern on the heart. The upper margin of the bead circle is written with the words "made by the military government", and the lower margin is written with the words "when making money, 50 words", and the left and right are decorated with flower star patterns. It bears the distinctive mark of the time of the revolution of 1911 and witnesses the magnificent history of the Republic of China!
