1935年国民党政府实行法币政策后，曾发行伍分、拾分、二十分和半圆镍币，民国时期的镍质辅币不仅在1935年后作为“法币”的辅币流通于市面，而且直到1948年8月19日，国民党政府发行“金圆券”以后，又作为金圆券的辅币流通。镍币是币制改革的产物，以镍替代贵金属银，在阻止西方列强掠夺中国白银方面起到重要作用。 本组孙小头中华民国二十五年镍币，重：4.5g/3.0g  直径：21.11mm/18.59mm  厚：1.68mm/1.48mm，厚片型，存世极为罕见，极为珍贵，底版为镜面，完全未使用品。正面中央为孙中山侧面肖像，边缘内上镌中文书“中华民国二十五年”八字、背面中央为布币图案字样。此组银元散发出一股王者的风范和历史沉淀的气息，具有非常高的收藏价值。

After the Kuomintang government implemented the legal currency policy in 1935, it issued nickel coins with five cents, ten cents, twenty cents and half yuan.
