Peacock green glaze is a kind of porcelain glaze color name, also called "Fa Cui glaze", "Jade glaze" and "Ji Cui glaze". A low-temperature colored glaze with copper as colorant originated from folk kilns in Song and Yuan Dynasties and was first seen in Cizhou kilns in Song Dynasty. During Chenghua in Ming Dynasty, Jingdezhen kiln was fired to maturity. Peacock green glaze is a kind of porcelain with high value, which has been favored by collectors because of its exquisite workmanship, beautiful glaze color and rare handed down from ancient times.

Green glaze was first seen in Han Dynasty. Since the lead-green glazed pottery of Han Dynasty, the firing of low-temperature green glaze has never stopped. Cizhou Kiln and Ding Kiln were fired in Song Dynasty, and the green glaze burned by Ding Kiln is called "Green Ding", which is precious. Both Bacun Kiln in Jin Dynasty and Cizhou Kiln in Yuan Dynasty produced green glaze and underglaze color and brown color. In Yuan Dynasty, Jingdezhen fired a new variety of peacock green glaze and underglaze blue and white on high-quality porcelain tires. Peacock green glaze is the main green glaze in Ming Dynasty, "melon skin green" in the early period, and light green glaze in Yongle period. According to the "South Kiln Notes", "Fa Lan and Facui were the best in Chenghua Kiln in the old days." This shows that the malachite green jade green glaze was successfully fired during the Ming Chenghua period.

Green glaze porcelain has its unique firing process. Peacock green glaze porcelain in the early days was mostly fired at low humidity by applying peacock green glaze directly to the green tire, so some artifacts were blue in color and were also called "Kong Quelan" or "Fa Lan". In the late Yuan Dynasty, craftsmen first fired porcelain tires into astringent tires or white glazed porcelain at high temperature, then applied peacock green glaze on them, and then fired them at low temperature again in kiln. Due to the different expansion coefficients of glaze and green body, the surface of porcelain presents different degrees of tiny pieces. After weathering for a long time and being eroded by soil, the glaze will fall off in pieces.

Peacock green glaze porcelain itself is precious. Peacock green glaze porcelain is usually glazed and fired at about 1300℃. However, due to the complex process, the firing temperature is extremely difficult to control, and the yield of ideal emerald glazed porcelain is extremely low. Therefore, it is a rare variety of ancient porcelain. Its value can't be underestimated in the collection field.

This collection is peacock green glaze porcelain jar, which is simple and steady, with thin glaze, uniform color, bright and beautiful, and fine fragments in the glaze, making it a rare and precious variety. Peacock green glaze was first seen in Cizhou Kiln in Song Dynasty, but it was really fired successfully in Ming Dynasty. It flourished in Kangxi Dynasty in Qing Dynasty, and it was rare after drying. The types of peacock green glaze porcelain in Qianlong Dynasty are richer than those in the previous period, and such artifacts are among the best. This device is very rare, and its collection value is also very high.

This jar has regular shape, beautiful glaze color and exquisite appearance. The color is warm and pure, the vision is harmonious and unified, and the shape is magnanimous. Especially, the high-rise luxury mouth adds masculinity. This excellent porcelain variety with special aesthetic feeling, which is luxurious but not warm, quiet but not gorgeous, mysterious but not heavy, has not disappeared into the long river of historical memory, but rewritten its splendid course, which is also the fascinating charm of peacock green glaze porcelain.
