明代各个时期的青花瓷器，在中国青花瓷中影响深远。不同年代的青花瓷器具有不同的特点，但青花钴料都能很好地适应中国绘画的各种题材，绘画用传统的毛笔，以种线条和点染、渲染来完成画图。宣德青花瓷则写款多，有所谓"宣德年款遍器身"之说，多为6字、少有4字与篆书。有的款识写于盖里与器内底或器里中心，有的书于器物外口边或器里口，均6 字横书，肩部的为4字或6字横款。写于器底面的最多见，6字为"大明宣德年制"，4字为"宣德年造"。酱色釉，亦称"紫金釉"。一种以铁为着色剂的高温釉，釉料中氧化铁和氧化亚铁的总量达5%以上。始于宋，宣德紫金釉釉面肥厚、光洁莹润，并有桔皮纹;嘉靖紫金釉色泽较浅，釉面有的光亮，有的晦暗。

清顺治、康熙、乾隆时紫金釉较为流行，康熙时釉色黄褐，多用于器物口部边沿;乾隆时在酱色地上抹金并加以描金的仿古铜彩器。莲子罐，罐式之一。流行于明末清初。直口，垂肩，长圆形鼓腹，圈足，附盖，盖面略鼓。因其形似莲子，故名。器形有大有小，多为白釉、青花器。
