龙泉瓷器开创于三国两晋时期，宋代达到鼎盛，结束于清代。生产瓷器的历史长达1700多年，是中国制瓷历史上最长的一个瓷窑系，影响十分深远。龙泉窑以烧制青瓷而闻名，在北宋早期以前的产品风格受越窑、瓯窑、婺州窑的影响，特征与三窑的产品相似。1957年，按照周恩来总理“要恢复龙泉瓷生产”的指示，浙江省由八位专家组成仿古小组，在第二年春天点燃了恢复龙泉瓷的第一炉窑。经过六十多年的恢复发展，龙泉青瓷步入了一个全新的繁荣期，不但艺术瓷在国内外打响了品牌，它的产品畅销于亚洲、非洲、欧洲的许多国家和地区。

Longquan porcelain originated in The Three Kingdoms and the jin dynasty, reached its peak in the song dynasty and ended in the qing dynasty. With a history of more than 1,700 years, it is the longest porcelain kiln in the history of Chinese porcelain making, and its influence is very far-reaching. Longquan kiln is famous for its celadon firing. Before the early northern song dynasty, the style of its products was influenced by yue kiln, ou kiln and wuzhou kiln, whose features were similar to those of the three kilns. In 1957, according to the instructions of premier zhou enlai, "to restore longquan porcelain production", zhejiang province was composed of eight experts in the archaize group, which lit the first furnace to restore longquan porcelain in the following spring. After more than 60 years of restoration and development, longquan celadon has entered a new prosperous period. Not only art porcelain has become a popular brand at home and abroad, but its products are sold well in many countries and regions in Asia, Africa and Europe.

整个艺术品市场，龙泉瓷器一直是拍卖场上的宠儿，尤其是宋龙泉瓷器，但宋朝的毕竟稀少，所以后期人民慢慢的把目光瞄准在1957年后周总理主持生产的中国龙泉瓷，龙泉瓷一直占据着艺术品收藏品类的版面，市场行情一路走热，无论是交易额还是价格都一路攀升。有数据显示，很早之前龙泉瓷器的价格标签大概两三年调整一次，而近两三年，几乎一年要调整两到三次。另一组数据亦支持了这观点，自06年以后，龙泉瓷器的价格涨幅至少在50%-200%之间，堆釉龙泉国花瓷瓶，涨幅更是接近一倍。并且，目前市场龙泉瓷器更是越加稀少。
