光绪元宝是清代光绪年间特有的一种货币。有着清朝货币特征，由于当时时局不稳定，因此几乎在全国的各个省都有专门的货币铸造厂。因此我们会发现那个时代的货币上都有鲜明的铸字，标明是哪个省的造币厂铸造的。江南省造甲辰每元当制钱十文，是江南省造光绪元宝中种镌有干支纪年的铜币。乃至今遗存极罕的一枚原光精铸钱币，十分难得。

江南省造光绪元宝系指清代光绪二十三年至三十一年(1897到1905年)由南京造币厂铸造的“光绪元宝”系列铜币，系清代正式铸行的法定流通铜币。但铸行江南省造银币的清末，已无江南省建制。江南省设于清朝顺治二年(1645年)，省府位于江宁(今南京)。清代的江南省前身是明朝的南直隶江南省，范围大致相当于今天的江苏省、常州市和安徽省。康熙六年(1667年)清廷撤江南省，分设江苏和安徽两个省。南京造币厂将其铸造的铜币标明“江南省造”，是因为当时苏州已经有一个专铸机制铜元的造币厂，其铸造的铜元均标明“江苏省造”。为避免混淆，南京造币厂将其铸造的银币标明“江南省造”。系我国货币史上有名无实的省份铜币。

Guangxu Yuanbao of Jiangnan province refers to the "Guangxu Yuanbao" series of copper coins, which was cast by Nanjing mint from the 23rd to the 31st year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty (1897-1905). It is a legal circulation copper coin officially cast in the Qing Dynasty. But at the end of Qing Dynasty, there was no system of Jiangnan province. Jiangnan province was established in 1645, the second year of Shunzhi in the Qing Dynasty, and the provincial capital is located in Jiangning (now Nanjing). Jiangnan Province in Qing Dynasty was formerly nanzhili Jiangnan Province in Ming Dynasty, and its scope is roughly equivalent to Jiangsu Province, Changzhou City and Anhui Province today. In the sixth year of Kangxi (1667), the Qing government withdrew Jiangnan province and divided it into two provinces, Jiangsu and Anhui. Nanjing Mint marked its copper coins as "made in Jiangnan province", because there was already a mint in Suzhou at that time with a special mechanism for copper coins, and its copper coins were all marked as "made in Jiangsu Province". In order to avoid confusion, Nanjing Mint marked its silver coins as "made in Jiangnan province". It is a provincial copper coin with no real name in the history of Chinese currency.

光绪元宝江南省造甲辰每元当制钱十文 ：正面中间是“光绪元宝”中心有两个满文，上方铭文为“江南省造”，下方为“每元当制钱十文”，在“江南省造”的两边，右“甲”左“辰”是记年。中间的珠圈由99个小点组成。背面，中间是一条飞龙，上方为英文，左右各一个玫瑰花饰，中间的珠圈由小点组成。此枚光绪元宝江南省造甲辰每元当制钱十文下方缘英文面值，品相佳，包浆明显。甚是罕见，值得珍藏。

There are two Manchu inscriptions in the center of "Guangxu Yuanbao" in the middle of the front, with the inscription "made in Jiangnan" on the top and "made in Jiangnan" on the bottom. On both sides of "made in Jiangnan", the right "a" and the left "Chen" are year records. The bead in the middle consists of 99 dots. On the back, there is a flying dragon in the middle. The upper part is in English. There is a rose ornament on the left and right. The bead circle in the middle is composed of small dots. This piece of Guangxu Yuanbao is made in Jiangnan province. It's worth ten Wen per yuan. It's in English. It's of good quality and has obvious wrapping. It's very rare and worth collecting.

正面甲字双开口，就是“甲”字的第一笔和第二笔不相连，有一个较大的开口。“甲”字的口中一横比较短，不和口字的两边相连，也称开口。“辰”字的一捺，由细到粗，顺畅到底。
