双旗币在我国近代银币中是久享盛名的一种，被列入我国近代机制币10大珍。双旗币起源民国，辛亥革命后，中华民国宣布成立。孙中山在颁布的“临时大总统令”中提出要“另刊新模，鼓铸纪念币”，在全国大量发行以取代清朝铜元。1914年，铜元正式改称“铜币”。各省铸造的铜元大多为两面叉的国旗图案，并有“开国纪念币”或“中华民国铜币”字样，因稀少程度而出名。

钱币正面圆环内铸有“贰百文”字样，圈内下方为麦穗环绕，左右两侧各饰一朵四角星花纹；钱币背面中间有双旗交叉而立，旗杆系有弯曲的璎珞，双旗笔直挺立，位于珠圈内；制作工艺精湛，是保存完好的一件珍稀藏品。
